Kia Charge Pass Program Overview Spring Hill, FL
Are you driving a 2022 Kia EV6? Or perhaps you’re anticipating the release of future EVs from the South Korean automotive manufacturer. Kia is making strides to provide its customers with benefits through something called the Kia Charge Pass Program. We at Ken Ganley Kia New Port Richey would like to tell you all about this feature and how it can be installed on your smartphone.
What Is The Kia Charge Pass Program?
The Kia Charge Pass provides 1,000 kWh of charging1 for customers who own a 2022 Kia EV6. This perk is only available under the Electrify America network2, a collection of charging stations located across the United States. At these refueling stops, you’ll get up to 1,000 kWh for free after signing up for the Kia Charge Pass. If you’ve purchased a 2022 EV6 recently, you’re in luck. You’ll be eligible for the Charge Pass for three years from the date you bought the automobile. While there’s no reason to rush, it may be a good idea to consider adding this feature just in case. One of the most significant pros to this program is that it doesn’t cost you anything to join. However, there are some fees3 that come along with your subscription to the program.
How Do You Enroll?
You can enroll in the Kia Charge Pass Program by downloading and signing up on the Kia Connect app. Follow the prompt on the screen to ensure everything checks out. Once your Kia Connect account has been created and activated, you can get an 8-digit Kia Charge Pass Enrollment code, which comes from the Kia Access app. You’re able to get this code from the Kia Owner’s Portal, also. Next, download the Electrify America app4. Fill out vital information to make an account and choose “Set Up Public Charging.” If you’re an existing Electrify America member, you can pick “Premium Offers” and select the “I have an enrollment code” option. But if you just signed up, go to “Choose Membership Plan” and tap “Premium Offers.” Enter the 8-digit code and choose Kia Charge Pass. You’ll need to input your ride’s VIN5 to verify. Finally, you’ll need to accept the disclosure, select a plan, and enter payment information. Set your arrangement to auto-reload to get started.
Will This Program Be Available for Future Kia EVs?
Kia doesn’t appear to be done with EVs, so it’s possible that the Kia Charge Pass Program will be available to future electric automobiles. Between governments urging manufacturers and consumers searching for efficient rides, it’s likely that Charge Pass is here to stay. While petroleum is still a significant factor in the automotive industry, Kia is one of the many that have mastered EV creation. Electric cars, SUVs, and even pickup trucks are all over the world, and Kia is in the fray, constructing its own line-up of energy-efficient vehicles. This program isn’t available for gas-powered rides. For now, it’s exclusive to the 2022 Kia EV6. But rest assured that the Kia team is considering this service for upcoming EVs.
