Design

Innovative convenience and comfort features abound in the 2024 EV9’s lowest trim. The heated and ventilated front seats are power-adjustable eight ways with 2-way power lumbar adjustments. The tri-zone climate control system has rear passenger controls, rear AC vents, and automatic defogging. Rain-sensing windshield wipers and heated side mirrors with integrated turn indicators are also standard.

The Passenger Talk function lets front-seat occupants use the cabin’s microphone or speakers to talk to people in the back row so you don’t have to turn around or raise your voice. You can also avoid disturbing occupants in the back row by using Quiet Mode to direct the audio system’s sound to just the front row.

Performance

The 2024 EV9’s top three trims have two motors and all-wheel drive. The two bottom trims have a rear-mounted motor and rear-wheel drive. However, these lower trims still pack a punch with 215 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The estimated drive range is 230 miles, and you get four drive modes: Sport, Eco, Normal, and My Mode.

Technology

The 2024 EV9 is not lacking any of the latest technology. The standard features in even the lowest trim are usually found only in the upper-level trims of other brands. The 8-speaker sound system has AM/FM stereo and SiriusXM satellite radio. The infotainment system sports a large 12.3-inch touchscreen display. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, map updates, navigation, and a wireless phone charger are all included.

A digital key allows you to control the vehicle’s locks and even drive it. You can also allow others to drive it by texting them the key. Pre-heat or Pre-cool the EV9 before entering with the Kia Access app. Two fast-charging USB-C ports are in every row. Also, a USB-C data port is in the front row, a 110V power inverter is in the second row, and a 110-power inverter outlet is in the rear cargo area.
